  • 4 eggs
  • 4/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 3-4 tablespoons granulated sugar

About Apple Roll Cake:

Apple is a yummy fruit used in many recipe as an ingredient and is one of the most known and used ingredients of Turkish desserts. Especially cakes, cookies, pies can be made with it. This recipe is easy to prepare and the roll looks pretty well. It is very practical and presentable for your guests. It is a perfect combination of cake and apple. You may garnish it with some sauces or whipped cream if you wish. I didn’t use any garnish for this recipe, but will absolutely use some in my coming recipes :)

  1. A kneading pot

  2. An electric mixer

  3. An oven tray

  4. Greased paper

  5. A towel

  6. A small pot

  7. A mixing spoon

  8. Aluminum foil

    Peel apples’ skin off and grate. Drain exceeded water.

    Take grated apples into a pot and add 3-4 tablespoons granulated sugar. Mix well.

    Simmer for 10-15 minutes. After that add cinnamon and chopped walnuts. Then mix again.

    Put greased paper onto the tray and spread the mix on it.

    For cake, place eggs and granulted sugar into pot and beat until you see bubbles. Then add flour and baking powder. beat again.

    Pour this mixture equally onto the tray again. Bake in the oven preheated to 200 °C (400 °F) until its top turns pink.

    Turn the cake upside down and take it onto a clean towel when its still hot. Take the greased paper cautiously.

    Roll the cake as soon as possible and wrap it into aluminium foil. When its warm, put it in fridge and set aside for 2-3 hours.

    After 2-3 hours, take it from fridge, peel aluminium foil away and dust with powder sugar and cut into slices.
