- 300 grams (0.661 pounds) brussels sprouts
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- A pinch salt
Actually this brussels sprout can not be considered as a Tukish food, but it has started to be consumed in recent times in Turkey too. This healthy food is best known for it’s antioxidants composition and it is best served cooked with salt and lemon juice. This simple recipe is just for you if you don’t have time to cook and if you like healthy vegetables. It is good also for vegetarians.
A mixing spoon
Remove the brussels sprouts’ outer leafs and wash well.
Put the brussels sprouts into the pot, add water until they are covered and cook until they are tender.
When they are soft enoguh, sieve for a minute.
Add the oil, lemon squeeze and salt. Then mix. You may serve hot or warm.
