- 5-6 medium sized carrots
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 5 tablespoons oil
- 5-6 tablespoons yogurt
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 clove (mashed)
- 6-7 walnuts (chopped)
- A pinch salt
Think some carrots, yogurt, mayonnaise and walnuts together. Does not it make any sense to you? Now, it will make, thanks to this recipe. This yummy meze (or call it appetizer) will be your healthy side dish for your dinners or lunches. I used walnuts for it’s topping but you may use others like hazelnuts, almonds etc. Besides, you may try to overcook the carrots a bit if you like the smell of overcooked foods

Peel off the carrots and grate them.
Pour the oil onto the sautepan and heat.
When the oil is heated add the grated carrots and saute. Do not forget to stir occasioanally in order to prevent overcooking.
Add the butter when the carrots are soft and continue to saute.
Turn off the stove when it is cooked.
Add the yogurt, mayonnaise, salt and mashed clove into the bowl and mix well.
When carrots get warm, add them into the mix and stir.
Finally add the walnuts into the mix. You may garnish it with walnut pieces if you wish.
