  • 1 + ½ cup sugar

  • ½ cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 + ½ teaspoon hazelnut paste (Nutella etc.)

About Chocolate Coconut Cake:

Everyone deserves a tasteful cake and of course with coconut. This recipe is an everyday-cake, let’s say an ordinary cake with chocolate. My husband prefers cakes with fresh fruits but I like chocalate ones. This is an easy recipe for beginners and you may find it’s ingredients just in your kitchen I think. Then, let’s start with some photos of Turkish style chocolate coconut cake.

  1. A deep kneading bowl

  2. An electric mixer

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C (355 °F).

    Crack the eggs into the bowl add and sugar onto it, then mix this blend with mixer until you see bubbles.

    Add vegetable oil and yogurt into this blend and mix again.

    Then add flour by inches and finally add vanilla extract and baking soda. Mix all these by an electric mixer for 5 minutes.

    Pour 1/3 of this mix to another bowl, add desiccated coconut and mix. Add hazelnut paste to the remaining mix.

    Grease cake pan, then pour the half of the mix with desiccated coconut into this pan.

    Add the mix with hazelnut paste onto the pan and then add the remaining half of the mix with desiccated coconut on top of it.

    Bake for 45-50 minutes in the preheated oven.

    Selcen very delicious cake. I made it last night. My husband liked it too, he ate this morning 3 pieces with his coffee.!!! Excellent combination chocolate with coconut. Alternative you can add melted dark or milk chocolate into the mix of halzenut for more chocolate taste. I like that in your recipes you use olive oil.Bravo!
