- 2 cups rice
- ½ cup boiled fresh corn
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 4-5 tablespoons oil
- 4 cups hot water
- A pinch salt
I am not going to introduce you the Turkish pilaf. I guess you already know it since you follow my web site regulary (at least I hope so :)). This simple recipe is one of my and my husband’s favourites. It is very very easy to prepare and very yummy in my opinion. We like fresh corns so much and this makes the recipe yummier for us. I hope you’ll like it too. Wait for my other pilaf recipes!
A stirring spoon
A few small bowls
Wash the rice for a few times and sieve. Then pour the oil into the pot and turn on the stove.
When the oil is heated add the rice. Saute while stirring.
Add butter when the rice is sauted. When the butter melts, stir for a few times.
Then pour the hot water and stir again. Finally add the boiled fresh corns, salt and stir again.
Cover the pot. Boil firstly on high heat and then simmer until it drains all of its water.
Turn off the stove and set aside for 10-15 minutes with the paper towel covered on the pot.
