- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup oil
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- A pinch salt
- 1 cup cornflour
- 2 cups + 2 tablespoons flour
A cracker named “pizza cracker” is sold in Turkey and people from 7 to 70 like it. While being different from this recipe, it’s delicious. I tried to bake it at home without spices and this is the result: salted poppy seed crackers. I accept, it’s a bit thick when compared to other crackers, but anyway, I accept it as a cracker You can shape it as you wish: like a star, like a triangle, like a ball etc. OK, let’s start!
A kneading bowl

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (355 °F).
Add butter, oil, eggs, poppy seeds and salt, then mix them together in the bowl.
Add cornflour, flour and baking powder on to the mix. Knead till you have a soft dough.
Divide the dough into four pieces and spread them with the rolling pin.
Cut out pieces using shape cutter and put them on the tray with greased paper on it.
Egg wash all the shaped dough pieces and bake in the oven until their edges are browned.
