  • ¾ cup hot water
  • A pinch salt
  • A pinch black pepper
  • A pinch thyme
  • A pinch red pepper
  • A pinch cumin

About Sausages in Tomato Sauce:

Tomato sauce (Turkish salça) is commonly used in almost every traditional Turkish food. Besides tomato, red pepper may also be used for this sauce. In some countries it’s also called zalza (tomato zalza or pepper zalza) but the most know name of it is tomato sauce anyway. This recipe is directed to an easy breakfast: sausages in tomato sauce. You’ll just need some tomato sauce and a few small sized sausages. Here is the recipe for a breakfast prepared without much effort.

  2. A sautepan

  3. A stirring spoon

    Split fores of the sausages into four just like in the photo above.

    Add the olive oil onto the sautepan and simmer.

  3. 3

    When the oil heats add the tomato sauce and roast for a couple minutes.

  4. 4

    After the tomato sauce is roasted, add the salt, black pepper, cumin, red pepper and thyme. Stir for a few times.

    Add the sausages on this mix and and roast them together for a couple minutes.

    Add water onto the sausages little by little.

  7. 7

    Fold the sausages and cook for 7-10 minutes over medium heat.
