- 500 gram (1.1 pound) spinach
- 1/3 cup bulgur
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- A pinch salt
- 3 cups water
My husband loves spinach and he can eat a pot spinach with bulgur at a dinner. Actually I don’t like it so much, but I know it’s one of the healthiest foods in our world. It has much more iron than any other food and it is rich in antioxidants. Some people say that “You have to consume it on the day you cook it. Do not keep it for another day”. I don’t know whether this is true or not, but I can honestly say that, sometimes we eat this dish after 3 days and nothing happens (at least nothing happened for now ).

Add oil and washed, sliced spinach into the pot.
Saute the spinach for a while.
Pour the water onto the spinach.
Add bulgur, salt and butter onto spinach and stir for a while.
Cover the pot and simmer for 20 minutes.
Serve hot. You may add yogurt on it.
