- 250 grams (0.55 pounds) butter or margarine
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 4 tablespoons strawberry sauce
- 3 cups flour
Let’s consider these cookies as biscuits with strawberry aroma in them. They are not soft, but yummy and crispy. You may not use strawberry sauce, you may desing it as you wish or you may use other sauces. Their color will change according to the sauce and if you don’t use any sauce, they will be simply white. The knack of this recipe is about baking it slowly on low heat. If you want it softer you may shorten the baking time and vice versa. And finally, you can adjust sauce. If you want cookies seem more vivid, you can use more sauce. Your children or guests will like these cookies from the first moment they taste.
A pot or a sautepan
A kneading bowl
A storage box
An oven tray
First of all, heat the margarine or butter in a pot or sautepan until it melts. Then turn off the stove and wait until it gets warm. Then take it to a storage box and set aside in the fridge for 3 hours.
You will see the top of the melted butter frozen and there is water under it. Drain this water.
Take the butter into a kneading pot and add the powder sugar and strawberry sauce on it. Then mix. Meanwhile, add the flour little by little. You have to knead it until you get a whole dough.
Take pieces from the dough and roll them like cylinders. Press onto them with a fork to make them flat and divide into square shaped pieces just like on the second photo.
Take all the square shaped doughs onto the tray with greased paper on it.
Set the oven to 150 °C (302 °F) and bake for 30 minutes. You may shorten this time if you would like to make cookies softer.
