About Sunflower Seed Pogaca:

This recipe is for people who love pogaca, but also think about calories. Pogacas or pastries are considered unhealthy and full of calorie since it contains flour and not suitable for people on a diet. However, this pogaca is made of whole wheat flour and people on a diet may eat it. Consider this pogaca like small breads with sunflower seeds on and in it. It’s oil level is balanced, but you may use milk instead of olive oil if you wish.

  2. An oven tray

  3. Greased paper

    Preheat the oven to 180 °C (356 °F).

    Whisk the olive oil, yogurt, dry yeast, granulated sugar and salt together in the kneading bowl and mix well.

    Add the the flour little by little and knead.

    When it is soft like earlobe, add the sunflower seeds and knead again.

    Cover the bowl and set aside for an hour in order to provide its leaven.

    When the dough gets bigger, take nut sized pieces from it and roll on your palm. You may adjust the size for your needs.

    Place the rolled doughs onto the tray with greased paper on it.

    Egg wash the doughs and sprinkle some sunflower seeds.

    Bake until they turn brown.
