If you’re following this web site, I’m sure that you’ve tasted Turkish delight or at least you know what it is. This dessert unique to Turkey is named lokum in Turkish, and we call easy, good or beautiful things as lokum gibi (like a delight). So this recipe this recipe is kind of “lokum gibi” since it is very easy I used hazelnuts for the topping but you may use almonds or walnuts if you like. I hope you’ll love this Turkish delight too.
A stirring spoon
A few small bowls
Add the milk, granulated sugar and semolina into the pot and boil while stirring.
Turn off the stove when the mix is completely boiled and consistent. Then set aside until it is warm.
Add the whipping cream, stir and wait until it is cool.
Take pieces from the mix by using a wet spoon, make rolls and dip these rolls into the shredded coconut.
Put the hazelnuts onto the rolls and set aside for 2-3 hours in the fridge.
