About Vermicelli Pilaf (Plain):

Vermicelli or noodle can be any size or any shape. This recipe is based on vermicelli shaped like a star, but any vermicelli can be used instead of it. It’s easy preparation makes this recipe useful for a short (and fast) dinner. It’s consume is also easy and you may consume it with some yogurt and salt. This will make this pilaf more tasteful. Besides, some black pepper or red pepper can also be sprinkled on it if you wish. That’s very easy! Here are some photos of Turkish vermicelli pilaf.

Vermicelli pilaf preparation

    Put the olive oil and heat for a while.

    Pour vermicelli to this heated oil.

    Stir constantly until vermicelli is fried and saute.

    Add butter and salt when they redden.

  5. 5

    Continue to stir until oil melts.

    Add 4 cups hot water and stir for a moment.

    Close the pot’s cover and cook on high heat for 5 minutes then take it to medium heat.

    When it’s cooked turn off the heater, cover the pot’s upper surface with a dry cloth, close the pot’s cover and set aside for 15 minutes.
